MIS3502.001 - Spring 2023

Hello all,

Welcome to week 4! In today’s class we will continue our work on the SupeAble Mobile client. See the “projects” tab for details.

Coming up on Thursday:

• A super quick overview of quizzes 1 and 2.
• We will do some database work. You will need MySQL workbench and a database connection to do that. If you need them, the setup instructions are posted here under “Resources”
• We will have Quiz 3. Quiz 3 corresponds to the “Week 3” video lecture

Today we will start project 3. As I discussed last class, projects 2 and 3 compliment each other.

Our time together in class will conclude with Quiz 2.

Welcome to week 3!  This week we are going to start work on both projects 2 and 3.  We will work on those projects concurrently for the next several weeks.

Reminder, project 1 is due tonight.

In the first 20 to 30 minutes of class:

• Demonstrate uploading my project 1 work to my S3 bucket.
• Answer questions about project 1.  I won’t answer questions about the “on your own” part, but if you are stuck on the part we did together in class, I want to help.  I may use your question as a learning opportunity for the benefit of the whole class.

Then, in the next 30 minutes … you will work on ideation activity 2.

The last 20 minutes of class will be dedicated to quiz 1. 

Please recall that I will allow one 8.5 x 11 page of *hand written* notes for the quiz.  Front and back of the paper is fine. I do expect that you not write on your notes while the quiz is in session.

Project 1 is due 1/31 at 11:59pm.
