Hybrid Scrum Framework

Each assigned team is expected to meet within 24-hours of the team list announcement (in-class) and organize themselves utilizing the Hybrid Scrum Framework listed below. 

Hybrid Scrum Framework (4-6 team Members)

    1. Product Owner (PO)
      1. Works in both Figma and Agora World
      2. Maintains vision
      3. Reviews Work
      4. Interacts with stakeholders
      5. Ensures that highest value content is delivered
      6. Pushes team to deliver
    1. Scrum Master
      1. Works in both Figma and Agora World
      2. Protects the team and process
      3. Facilitator, balancing demands of PO against needs of team members (avoids team burnout)
      4. Acts as spokesperson for the team
        1. Creates charts and boards to share progress (with instructor)
      5. Removes Blockers
      6. Holds team accountable for deliverables

Establishing Team Norms

    1. Set up two-three-weekly meetings (this is your hybrid “Standup and must be attended by all team members)
    2. Establish Ground rules for dealing with conflict (teams must learn to move forward with a decision, even when in disagreement)
      1. Determine working relationships
      2. Conflict resolution
      3. Consensus options
      4. How to hold one another accountable
    3. Sprint Planning Meeting
      1. Kickoff meeting to define stories that will be written and who owns them
    4. Start Working
      1. Write User Stories
        1. Led by PO
        2. Use “INVEST” Framework
      2. Create a roadmap to outline product development process
        1. Establish order of how you will deliver content
        2. Determine what will delivered in “Sprints”
    5. Daily Standup (conducted in-class and on your own)
      1. Led by Scrum Master (Collaboration, Communication & Cadence)
      2. Includes entire team
      3. Three key questions:
        1. What did you do yesterday?
        2. What are you going to do today?
        3. Is anything blocking your progress?
      4. Opportunity to hold team members accountable
    6. Assess the team (Team Retrospective)
        1. Start with team successes first and ask the following:
          1. What worked well?
          2. What did not work well?
            1. (what can you change within your control?)
          3. What can be improved?
          4. Complete the Team Member Evaluation Assessment
