A company in California recently announced that a flying motorcycle called “Speeder” will make it debuts next year. The motorcycle is pricing at $380,000. It is powered by five modified jet engines. According to a spokesperson, it will be able to reach at least 150 mph, have a 45-mile range and flies up to 15,000 feet.
Currently, the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) does not require a pilot license to operate this type of craft. However, due to law and regulation, Speeder will be limited to operating on personal property, at least for now. The company hopes that Speeder will be able to play a vital role in military life. It can be used to transport equipment, supplies, or soldiers on and off the battlefield. As for civilian life, it can be really useful for first responders. It enables people to reach a difficult location.
In my opinion, I think this could be bad and good depends on how it will be utilized. If a hospital or military use it, then it will be really beneficial. For instance, if there is an accident and an ambulance couldn’t get to the victim due to traffic or due to the location, this can potentially help since it operates in the air. With the price tag of $380,000, I doubt we’ll be able to see many people will use it. Personally, even if I can afford it, I don’t think I would want to ride on one of these.
What do you think about this innovation? Do you foresee a flying motorcycle become a thing in the near future? Would you like to try this Speeder?
