Welcome to the MIS 5121 Course – Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems. Note this course blog is used for both the in-person class (Alter Hall 602) as well as for those participating online.
I hope you are as excited to get started as I am. In this class, you will learn the the fundamentals of ERP Systems, the business processes they enable and the controls necessary to assure they work properly.
In preparation, please see course content and requested activities in menu path: Schedule -> First Half of Semester -> Week 1: Introduction
We will begin class on Monday, August 28th. In that class we will review the structure of the course, what I am expecting from you, and introduce to some basics of the core concepts we cover in the course: Business Processes, ERP Systems and Controls. You’ll also be introduced to the SAP system we’ll use for many of the course assignments.
This class session (as we’ll do every week) will be conducted in Alter Hall classroom 602. For those online, the class room will be connected as a Webex meeting. If you join via Webex, I expect that you will join with full audio and video working.
See you either in class or on Webex Monday night the 28th.
