All questions regarding software setup, technical troubleshooting, questions about assignments/activities and anything related to course material should be posted here. My goal is to build a knowledge base so we all can learn from each other’s errors, questions etc…

Hi Professor,
I’m not sure if you spoke about this in class, i wanted to find out about the “Operating Systems Lab(Just Step 1)” on week 2 of the community site, its a 4 page word document of about 31 questions,
So do we work on this independently?
And if we have to submit this to you, by when is the submission deadline ?
Thank you

Hi Folake,
I have not officially assigned the OS Lab yet, but will do so next week. I just want you all to complete step 1 which is setting up the VM.
The OS Lab will be due the following in Week 4 (9/20). For this lab you can work independently, in pairs or as a group. It is totally up to you. Just be sure to provide screenshots and descriptions where required.
Does this help clarify?

Thanks Prof
Yes your answer helps, so what we have to complete now is the step 1 which is setting up the VM.
Thank you

Exactly. I just want everyone to get a head start creating the VM’s so we can hit the ground running and resolve issues in class on Thursday.

Hi Professor,
After I finish step 1 and step 2 and I get to step 3 to power up the virtual machine, I keep getting the error message “Operating System not found”
so I deleted and started all over again and I still got the same message. ( I did have some bit of problem with step 2- on using the ISO image of the Windows Server 2012 R2 x64 DVD., I somehow managed to get through that part — i’m not sure if that’s why I got the error message ??
