Week 6 Update

October 6, 2017 by Patrick J. Wasson 1 Comment

Hi Class,

Good work last night!  To recap: We moved onto Systems Administration and began our coverage of managing technology resources within and organization, which included domains, domain controllers, and active directory.

Next week we will continue our coverage of systems administration with some further demonstration of active directory and domains as well as covering everything you ever wanted to know about using the command line!

For next week 1) Read the posted web link under week 7 2) Begin Tech Chall 2 and 4 so I can answer any questions in class next week 3) Begin practicing working with the command line in windows so we can hit the ground running.

Remember: In honor of Tom Petty if you provide me with a song of his you listened to I will allow you to submit Tech Challenge 2 and 4 up until 10/19!!  Here’s one to get you started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJQQYUjPUNQ

Have a great weekend!

Pat

Hi professor i’m reading through the tech challenge 4 and trying to work on it but don’t really get it because for example it say determine whether their server is running a company-provisioned anti-virus program. But we’re only going through the server we created in VM right?
