Hi Class, last night we moved onto Database Administration and Auditing. This included a comprehensive overview of Relational Database Architecture as well as a hands on demonstration of a MySQL installation and configuration as well as a walk-through on how MySQL operates on a Windows Server.
Next week we will continue our database coverage and will move deeper into database development which will involve writing SQL queries in MySQL Workbench.
For next week: 1) Submit Tech Challenge 2, 4 by 10/26 2) The command line activity will be due on 11/2 3) Read Murach’s MySQL Chapters 3 and 4. 4) Tech Challenge 6 will be due 11/9, but please complete the first 8 steps of the challenge for next week and login via workbench just so you have a MySQL instance to work from in class next week.
