Social Media Analytics – Brandwatch

 

Brandwatch is a platform similar to Google Analytics, which uses big data in order to help companies collect information about their company. Brandwatch is a social media monitor which analyzes different social media websites, blogs, forums and news sites across the globe in order to tell companies what the world has to say about a specific brand, product or company.

Brandwatch can determine and gather information in 27 different languages in order to offer important information that firms can find useful. Brandwatch also cleans data, which means that it only takes real information from the web. Special algorithms make sure that spam, duplications and other irrelevant data is eliminated in order to offer customers the best possible data quality. This social media monitor will update in real time and it will alert users as soon as new information is received. Brandwatch acquires all of the relevant data on a company and allow users to sort and filter it by many different useful areas such as date and time, language, location and topic. All of this information can be displayed on any modern web browser so there’s no need to download additional software or plugins. The default dashboard interface gives a simple overview of all the important information collected by Brandwatch. Everything is also customizable so customers can see their data in any way they like. All of this data collected can be separated as needed and exported in to Microsoft Excel which allows users to convert the data in to any format or size needed.

Brandwatch makes it possible to analyze customer opinions all over the internet. Currently Brandwatch is being utilized by over 700 different brands from all over the world. Companies such as Kellogg’s, Whirlpool, MediaCom and PepsiCo use Brandwatch to analyze the vast amount of data from all over the web in order to make important company decisions.
