Foundation Engineer
As a Foundation Engineer/Intern for Unified Connexions, I was assigned to a team responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure and operations for a local school district.
In my role I:
- Orchestrated the refresh of over six hundred end user machines for use in the upcoming year
- Assisted clients on site with the use of software and applications needed for their occupations
- Facilitated the hardware upgrade of critical system infrastructure
- Completed daily IT support tickets submitted by clients with a typical completion time of less than one hour
This experience allowed me to utilize knowledge about coding and servers that I gained through the MIS curriculum. This role allowed me to develop my hands on technical knowledge through working to repair and maintain hardware for our client. Additionally, I was able to improve my professionalism and communication skills with our clients working on site everyday.
