Piccolo Trattoria

Piccolo Trattoria was my first job when I began my senior year in high school. I continue to work there today as a junior in college. Besides for the waitressing, hostessing and cashier skills, I have attained at the restaurant, I have learned a lot about customer service and business loyalty. I believe that when working with others, no matter if they are superiors, colleagues or customers, honesty and integrity is substantial. Working at Piccolo has taught me to further utilize these skills both at school and in the outside world.

National 4-H Council

My internship at National 4-H council presented me with one of the best summers of my life. Not only did I gain knowledge on youth development and the good that nonprofits bring to urban and rural communities, I was able to get to know and work very closely with very intelligent, kind, and talented individuals. Also the experience of living in an entirely new and busy city was thrilling. I worked directly with the senior leadership global team at 4-H and planned the group’s international trips to countries in Africa and Latin America. I also assisted with researching fundraising opportunities in the organization’s non-profit U.S. state and international extensions and conducted extensive organized spread sheets of budget and result data.

The connections and relationships I formed within the last summer were unforgettable. I learned more about what I want to concentrate my career on and the type of work I would like to do.
