Experience
I have not had an internship but have had real world situations through my courses here at temple. The MIS courses do well to prepare a student in their field. All my professors at the Fox school are very experienced and do well to describe different situations that they went through and how they dealt with them.
One of my main interests are soccer. I have been playing since I was 7 and never stopped progressing through the levels of competition, current level is the division 1 program here at temple. Soccer taught me many characteristics that are hard to indulge if you have not played a sport at a high caliber. When you reach a certain level more than skill alone is needed to earn a positive result on the field. You need to view people more than just another person and in order to work best together you need to keep an open mind and think of everyone as family, criticism should always be constructive and if you put extra effort where others choose not to you will always set yourself apart. This can be lectured but not grasped.
