Introduction

Following graduation from Temple University in 2003 with a BA in Information Science and Technology, I
pursued a career with KPMG as an Information Risk Management Services Associate. Throughout my experience in this role, I had the opportunity to organize and present remediation plans to audit clients, develop business risk measurement matrices for audit clients and audit programs for application testing, and analyzed client business processes in an effort to proactively identify areas of potential concern. This initial experience allowed me to build a strong skillset which would prove to be invaluable as I strived to build the foundation needed to explore advanced opportunities in the realm of audit, Risk and Cyber Security.

To be a successful professional in the realm of Audit, Risk, and Cyber Security, I strongly believe that I must continuously improve my practical skills that are needed to accurately and effectively assess, manage and control organizational systems risk. In an effort to enhance my current skillset and systematically develop a competitive advantage over peers in Audit, Risk and Cyber Security domain, one of my short-term goals is to gain professional accreditation from a reputable graduate school, namely, the Fox School of Business and Management.

As a career-driven individual, I continuously challenge myself to be inventive and think outside the box to resolve issues. I have established the goal of increasing and eventually demonstrating a high level of competence in five key domains, including standards and practices, organization and management, processes, integrity, confidentiality and availability, and software development, acquisition and
maintenance. Developing a sound understanding and gaining additional hands-on experience in the
aforementioned domains is critical to becoming a professional and accredited leader in the Audit, Risk and Cyber Security field, which is what I envision myself to be in the future.
