Accounts Payable Associate

Gramercy Property Trust is a self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT) that invests in commercial properties and real estate loan products. Gramercy Real Estate primarily manages commercial properties, mostly leased to financial institutions. My role here was to provide general accounting support to the accounting team, as well as to coordinate general ledger and other entries for payments including assisting with bank reconciliation and other accounting functions. During this role I honed my numerical and analytical abilities.

Project Assistant, Recruitment Officer

Business & Finance Consulting is a Zurich based consulting firm specialized on advising financial institutions in emerging markets in the field of MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) lending. I started my experience here as a Project Assistant and after only three months of employment I was promoted to the position of Recruitment Officer. In this capacity I had the chance to communicate with various applicants from different countries and levels: from juniors to the top level experts. I managed to build up and to enhance continuously all of the various recruiting networks to have direct access to high potential candidates. My work at BFC helped me apply my professional skills in recruitment with an emphasis on finance and banking for international donor funded projects. Selecting and hiring high profile finance consultants has provided a solid foundation and understanding of how the experts are assessed, affirming my interest in eventually becoming a finance consultant.

Victoria Bank is the first commercial bank in Moldova. During this summer internship I got the chance to get experience in lending to small and medium sized enterprises representing various industries, such as: metal processing; textiles and clothing, shoes; processed foods and beverages. This experience helped me enhance my financial analysis and risk assessment expertise.

Pedersen & Partners is a leading international executive search firm, operating 50 wholly owned offices in 47 countries. Through my tenure at this company I got the chance to work for numerous multinational clients on different projects which determined my perception of various business cultures. Due to my tenacity and willingness to achieve the best possible results I was promoted to the head of Client Relationship Center Operators unit in a record three months. I was stretched in several directions, being responsible for the control and coordination of the work of the 10 people group, as well as for the training of all the newly hired assistants.
