Fox IT Career Fair

Going to career fairs has never exactly been easy for me. I usually struggle with opening conversations, however at the IT Career Fair this wasn’t nearly as much of a problem. I really gravitated towards the IT fair as it is a much smaller event than the Fall/Spring Connections. The 7th floor of Alter was filled with interesting companies that had rewarding careers using technology to solve a problem. These were exactly the types of employers that I hope to be working for some day. When you find companies that you are truly interested and passionate about it makes conversation effortless and seamless. I found that the employers at the fair were very receptive when you had intelligible questions about their company and how they did business. Employers can see if you’re just trying to sell yourself for an interview or if you really are interested in working towards that company’s goals. The best part of the IT Career Fair was that this allowed me to feel more comfortable at larger career fairs, like the Fall/Spring Connections.
