HomeFront Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week 2023
On November 18, my mom and I volunteered at HomeFront, a homeless shelter in Lawrence Township, NJ that provides, meals, clothing, and other resources to those in need. We volunteered to pack Thanksgiving baskets for the organization’s Thanksgiving drive. There was a large turnout of volunteers at the event, and my mom and I ended up helping sort through clothing donations to make it easier for people coming in to get clothing to find exactly what they are looking for. HomeFront is a great organization and it was wonderful to see how much they provide for those in need. I am glad I was able to play a small role in helping those less fortunate than me get the resources they need.
