The Honors Program at Temple University is dedicated to providing high-achieving students with enriching academic opportunities, holistic advising, a dynamic and inclusive community, and strong encouragement and support along the way to commencement—and beyond. The program requires the completion of six Honors Courses by the time of graduation and a minimum grade point average of 3.25. In addition to the academic requirements of the program, Fox Honors students must also satisfy the Leadership component of the program. Each year, the student must meet the minimum number of activity points set for that year. Activity points are awarded by participating in events, joining organizations, and acquiring leadership roles.

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectualclimate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence. Membership is awarded to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
