These are some of the courses I have taken or am currently taking.
LGLS 1101- Legal and Regulatory Environment of Business
I learned about the way the justice system works in constitutional, administrative and business law. I had the chance to participate in a mock-trial as a juror with fellow classmates.
ECON 1101- Macroeconomic Principles
I learned about what large-scale economic concerns such as gross domestic product, inflation, price levels, rate of growth, national income, and changes in unemployment are and how they are determined.
ECON 1102- Micro-economic Principles
I learned about what small-scale economic behavior of individuals and firms in making decisions regarding the allocation of scarce resources and the interactions among these individuals and firms.
BA 2104- Excel for Business Applications
I learned how to use Excel efficiently, how to create formulas, use functions, produce and format charts, create reports and Pivot Tables, and use what-if-analysis for managerial decision making.
MKTG 2101- Marketing Management
I had the chance to understand the role of marketing in the U.S. economy, the interaction of marketing with other business functions and with society, as well as the components of marketing strategy including analyzing what markets and needs the firm will serve; deciding when, where, and how the firm will meet these needs; and understanding why the firm should implement a strategy. I learned about the concept of the marketing mix development, and how it integrates product development and management, pricing, integrated communications and promotion, distribution, logistics, and supply-chain management, as well as other decisions involved in this process. In class I had to work on a group project called New Shoes where groups had to create their own footwear business and make marketing decisions to see if it would help or hinder the company’s success.
