Diamond Peer Teacher
As Diamond Peer Teacher, I was tasked with assisting my mentor, Professor Sclarow, in teaching the entry-level MIS course Digital Systems (MIS 2101). I attended every class, provided regularly scheduled tutoring time, office hours, study sessions, and created In-Class Activity (ICA) coursework to supplant class concepts. Additionally, I attended weekly meetings with my mentor to discuss class progress, as well as monthly scheduled meetings with fellow Diamond Peers to discuss possible teaching strategies and solutions to common roadblocks we faced. Ultimately, I found the experience incredibly rewarding, as it challenged me to view the course in a different perspective, and look for opportunities to further students understanding of course concepts.
