SQL for Data Analysis (2020)

I completed the “SQL for Data Analysis” course on LinkedIn Learning. The course taught me how to use SQL, a powerful language used to work with data in databases. I learned how to write queries to pull out specific information, organize large sets of data, and make sense of it. Some of the main skills I learned include using SELECT to choose data, JOIN to combine data from different tables, and GROUP BY to organize it into useful summaries. The course showed real-life examples of how companies use SQL to analyze customer data, sales performance, and more. This helped me understand how data is used to solve business problems. I also gained experience with problem-solving and attention to detail, which are important for IT support and analytics roles. Overall, this course helped me build confidence in working with data and using SQL in a way that connects with my major in Management Information Systems. I now feel more prepared to apply these skills in internships or jobs where data plays a key role in decision-making.
