Nifty website I made for a client! The client wanted a website for her dog retreat.
Here it is!
P&P Auto Services: I worked at an auto repair shop called P&P Auto Services as their tech intern. I created databases that stored customer information using SQL. I used oracle for this. I was able to create tables and integrate data whenever necessary. When customers came in and my secretary needed me to input or retrieve data, I did it. I also made a webpage for them using my HTML and JavaScript skills. I created the page and included background information, contact forms, and appointment forms. This enhances my skills because I actually got to work with real data and real scenarios. I found that I got stuck sometimes on things that I never knew how to do. This forced me to dig around and research new concepts. I watched videos and read up on coding websites to adapt and learn. Over time, I started to code more efficiently and it was satisfying. I used what I learned in my courses and I felt proud. I have experience working with real data now and I want to go even bigger!
Server: I served food at a banquet hall/restaurant called Asian Palace. I greeted, sat, and served the customers during the day time and then worked weddings and parties at night time. I also bussed the tables and cleaned up everyday before leaving.
Warehouse Worker: I worked in a warehouse called Pendant Systems. I retrieved items and packaged it for shipping.
