Work History and Internships
Work History
- American Pool Management (2007 – 2010)
- Certified Lifeguard, responsible for pool maintenance and patron safety
- Beginning my first income earning and taxable job, I enjoyed working as a lifeguard in the summers. Thankfully, I only had to make one save while working for APM.
- Philadelphia Protestant Home (2009 – 2010)
- Certified Lifeguard, responsible for pool maintenance, patron safety, and daily exercise programming
- This was my first job that I worked in conjunction with going to school. It was a different type of lifeguarding experience since it was located inside a nursing home. I never had to make a save, but I would have to instruct a water aerobics class on week nights for an hour.
- South Jersey Property Damage Specialists (2010 – 2013)
- Carpenters Assistant, responsible for aiding master carpenters on job sites
- Working for SJPDS has to be my most memorable and enjoyable job that I have worked so far. I learned so much while working for SJPDS. I love building things and working for this company provided me with a greater knowledge for both emergency and general home repairs.
- Draught Horse: Restaurant and Bar (2011 – pres)
- Barback, Bartender, and Server responsible for providing guests with a memorable and enjoyable experience
- This is where I currently work. It was my first restaurant job, and I have since taken an interest in the restaurant industry. I mostly work as a barback stocking the bar and assisting the kitchen, but I have also served tables during the summer months and when needed. I am currently training to become a bartender, and I hope to continue to climb the internal ladder and become a manager during my senior year.
Internships
- ChargeItSpot, LLC (2013 – 2014)
- Intern
- CIS provides businesses with a secure cellphone charging kiosk that is designed to keep the customers of these business in stores long in hopes of purchasing more items. CIS was my first internship that I worked during the summer of my Sophomore year. When first brought on I was assisting with event planning and social media management. Since CIS was a small startup with only 6 full-time employees, my role grew quickly. I eventually was working with data collection, research and development, maintenance, event planning, and sales. My time at CIS introduced me to the startup world, a world I think my skills would work very well in.
