I gained knowledge about common cyber threats like advanced persistent threats, attack methods hackers use to hide their actions, and how to differentiate actual threats from exaggerated fear, uncertainty, and doubt. The course covered crucial topics like the cyber kill chain phases, types of cyberattacks, cyber risk management practices, developing secure architectures, and protocols for incident response. Additionally, I learned about the increasingly global nature of cybersecurity, with the instructor describing principles and norms for cybersecurity at an international level.
