Welcome to the group site for the Pesty team for MIS 4596.
Our project, named “Pesty”, is an mobile application prototype that provides personalized and convenient pest management solutions for customers. After researching the market for pest management applications, we discovered an unmet need in the marketplace that would become our unique value proposition: to allow customers to choose between hiring an exterminator or purchasing a product to “Do-it-Themselves”. Additionally, Pesty includes an identification function which allows users to browse or search for a specific pest and learn more about it.
We believe Pesty will succeed in the marketplace for pest management solutions as it offers customers the unique ability to choose between inexpensively “Doing-it-Themselves” or hiring an exterminator for situations the customer does not want to or cannot handle themselves. Our free-to-use identification system will also entice customers with general pest information, popular home remedies, and instructional Youtube videos for a wide variety of pests which is valuable information that is difficult to find aggregated in one place.
