ABOUT DRAGONHACKS 2019

DragonHacks 2019 is the best 24 hour hardware-focused hackathon event hosted by Drexel University IEEE in 2019 in the Bennett S. LeBow College of Business. DragonHacks 2019 is bringing in the brightest minds of the world’s best schools to spend 24 hours to create ground breaking new products from scratch!

We will have more than enough East coast exclusive food and caffeine to energize hungry and excited hackers. With over $10,000 in prizes this year, your sleepless efforts will be rewarded!

Hacking begins at 2 PM Saturday April 20th right after the 1 PM opening ceremony and ends at 2 PM Sunday April 21st. You must submit your project on Devpost. In order to be eligible for prizes, you also must participate on the Sunday judging.

Looking for art to hang in your office or home, and support the local creative community at the same time? Join our “Buy local art” challenge and help us reach the goal of $10,000 of local art purchased by the tech community during Philly Tech Week 2019 presented by Comcast.

We are creating a beautiful map of the PTW19 Kickoff Festival footprint featuring the companies and organizations that wish to be open and a part of the event by being represented on the map as a location open for some period of time to the public between 5 to 10 p.m. that first Friday night in May.

In terms of healthcare technology, focus on the clinical trial and life-science industries, as a fertile market for technology innovators, is severely lacking. The Clinical Innovators Forum is an event which seeks to educate the community on this exciting sector of healthcare technology. Modeled after our Clinical Innovators Summit, the forum will allow those interested, to be exposed to current leaders, organizers, and managers in the clinical space. Participants will learn about the current technology ecosystem, as well as some of the processes that are desperately in need of more digitally ergonomic assistance.

The event will begin with a thirty-minute networking period, where refreshments will be provided to attendees. It will be followed by two, ten minute, presentations on the structure of human clinical trials and how they operate and are governed. Finally, the event will end with a thirty minute panel discussion featuring clinical trial managers, sponsors and coordinators, conversing with each other and attendees, about the challenges being faced in the industry, and how technology can be applied to remedy such challenges. After the panel discussion, time will be available for further networking and socializing.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Introduced will be a “choose your own adventure” format with 3 rooms of simultaneous programming, a rotating demo floor and curated introductions.

Speaker Rooms:

Throughout the space there will be three designated rooms for full-day programming. The themes in each of these rooms will mimic Technical.ly’s editorial/event tracks. Including expansive content related to:
