Thinkful Webinar | Intro to Data Analytics: SQL Fundamentals
SQL (Structured Query Language) is the most ubiquitous language for data scientists and data analysts. Companies store their data in a database, and SQL is a common database query language that helps you to build your database, retrieve the data, and work with that data in a structured manner.
In this course, you’ll learn to extract and analyze data stored in databases. You’ll first learn to extract data and work with simple queries to pull specific data you need for your analysis. Join us for a fun interactive workshop that will get you on your way to using SQL.

You have been invited to participate in a unique opportunity to learn from and connect with local employers who are looking to hire for internship and entry-level positions.
On Thursday, October 17th from 4:40pm-6:30pm The Talent and Education Network, a program of The Main Line Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting a special event, “Opportunity Knocks: Get Your Message Across/Meet Employers,” with Guest Speaker TechLife Steph, along with a panel discussion of recent graduates who have begun their own career journeys. Learn how you too can make yourself more marketable to land and retain jobs.
Employers from the suburbs and city will be available to discuss positions available within their companies. The first 40 students who register and attend the event will be automatically entered to win an iPad, Amazon Fire Stick, or a waterproof speaker. This will be a catered event with to-go boxes onsite.
“Opportunity Knocks” provides a great opportunity to learn from and build connections with employers who want to meet you so bring some resumes. CalixTech News Presents: The Third annual NEWARK GAMING EXP Attendees will not only get to compete in an amateur e-sports tournament & have access to a great gaming event with tons of giveaways & prizes, but will also be able to play retro games, some indie game titles, compete in gaming challenges, participate in a Halo Tournament (check out our Halo/Monster lounge) & DEMO VR Gaming with the HTC Vive.

Tech Elevator is a leading 14-week bootcamp and career prep program, teaching people with a variety of backgrounds to become software developers and land fulfilling careers in tech. We are excited to be launching a program in Philadelphia in January 2020! With existing campuses in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, Columbus and Cincinnati, Tech Elevator looks to bring its proven and nationally-ranked program to help elevate people, companies and the greater Philadelphia community. Join us for the TLC Philly 7th Annual Conference focused on Digital Access and Civic Engagement. Our conference gives you a chance to hear multiple speakers from Philly who are focused on issues of digital inclusion and equity in their programs. Our keynote speaker is Angela Siefer, the Executive Director of the National Digital Inclusion Alliance.
