SUMMARY:Introduction to Data Visualization
DESCRIPTION:Do you like data? Do you like good looking graphs? Do you like presenting information in eye-catching ways? If you answered yes to any of those\, you might be interested in learning more about data visualization. In this hands-on workshop\, Research and Data Services Librarian Will Dean will show you how to take a humble dataset and present it in a variety of colorful\, informative\, and interactive visualizations using Tableau. Tableau is one of the most widely-used data visualization programs available\, and can generate graphs\, stories\, and interactive dashboards. You can download Tableau and get a free student or teacher account. \nThis workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop. You will receive a registration confirmation email\, which includes the Zoom link. DESCRIPTION:As artificial intelligence and related technologies such as cloud computing and data centers become increasingly integrated into our daily lives\, questions about their environmental impact are growing more urgent. What are the true ecological costs of these tools? What steps can we take to reduce harm and innovate more sustainable solutions? \nJoin Temple University Libraries and the Office of Sustainability for a timely panel discussion exploring the complex intersection of AI and environmental sustainability.
