SUMMARY:Evaluating AI Research Tools in Library Databases
DESCRIPTION:As proof of attendance\, Have; \n\n2 screenshots with your name visible (either show your name logged into your computer on split screen or log into canvas or your portfolio and show that).      \n\n1 with the date and time from the start of the session.\n1 with the date and time from the end of the session.\n\n\nTitle of the meeting or webinar visible in screenshots.\nYou will not get approved without the above\, no exceptions.\nYou need to stay the entire time and the time attended will be checked with the host.\n\nMany of the databases that Temple University Libraries subscribes to have added AI enhancements. In their efforts to keep pace with the surge of interest in artificial intelligence\, have these database providers rushed these tools into production before they are truly useful or have they introduced helpful additions? \nThis session will provide an overview of some of the newly available AI research tools and explore their potential usefulness and possible limitations. It will also touch on concerns related to exposing novice researchers to such tools\, especially in terms of academic honesty and critical thinking skills. \nThis workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom.
