Professional development is about industry experiences, career knowledge, leadership, communication skills, ability to work in a team, and readiness for the workplace. Professional development is different from academic achievement, both<\/em> are important. Employers today expect that hires will have the skills and knowledge to perform their job and<\/em> the relevant career experiences, communication skills, and leadership to hit the ground running. Graduates with a high level of professional development can apply learning to practice and are ready to achieve workplace success. Academic achievement is measured by GPA, professional development is measured by professional achievement (PRO) points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
