My upbringing made me into a unique sports fan. Growing up forty minutes outside of Philadelphia, it was expected that I would support Philadelphia teams only, but this is not so. My aunt and uncle have Yankee seasons tickets so I went to numerous games through my childhood, much to the disdain of my Philly supporting family. Despite supporting the Yankees I still support the Eagles and the 76ers. Before attending Temple I supported UNC basketball and Penn State football, this is no longer the case. My interesting fandom has sparked countless debates between my friends and family, but my loyalty has never wavered.
