2.Details of the activity:

Join us this Wednesday, September 8th, 2021, as we welcome Sean Gold from Ameriprise Advisors for our first Speaker Series of the year! Sean is a Temple Alumnus and former Vice President of PSO who will be touching on how his experiences through college were important in becoming a financial advisor. Sean will also be discussing the difference Ameriprise Advisors have when caring for their clients financial wellbeing and planning for life\’s toughest moments. Finally, Sean will be discussing simple financial strategies he wished he knew before beginning his college journey. Dress is business casual. If you have any questions, please contact our Director of  Coroprate Relations, Lucas Pannizzo, at lucas.pannizzo@temple.edu . The Professional Sales Organization understands that COVID-19 has presented many Temple students with challenges with attending in person meetings. To help make our meetings accessible to all students, we have made live streaming into meetings an option at https://temple.zoom.us/my/temple.pso . We highly encourage students attend in person when possible as it allows for a more personal experience in learning about professional sales and meeting with our professional speakers.

3.Sean Gold talked about how having the skills to sell a product can be used in many different fields. For example, Gold works as a financial advisor but he uses skills he learned from his Undergraduate program everyday to talk to clients and have clients trust him with their finances. The biggest lesson I learned from him is having many different skills is important, even skills that might not relate to your major.

4.This activity relates to my career because eventually I am going to have a job where I will need to use a variety of skills to be successful. For example if I work in a job where I have to talk to clients, I will need good communication skills. The activity was about sales, so having sales skills can help if I work with clients.
