- – Administer sales support and food service for a large chain of convenience stores that serves over 1 million people every day, focusing on friendly customer service.
- – Handle around 500 monetary transactions daily and taught new employees proper cash management procedures, including balancing drawers at the end of shifts.
- – Assist managers with cash reconciliation and breakdown of shift balances that totaled over $50,000 in daily revenue.
The Corner Kitchen, Hatboro, PA
Busser, June 2009 – March 2010
- – Provided customer service to over 300 customers every day, by assisting in store clean up and dishwashing at a small, local restaurant focusing on town favorites
- – Served customers by washing plates and utensils, eventually helping owner with closing procedures such as balancing financial statements and transactions
- – Replenished dishes, condiments and other table supplies, assisting the manager with table service during busy lunch and dinner rushes
Future Employment: I will be adding to my work experience this summer when I intern at John Hancock in its life insurance practice in Boston, Massachusetts. I hope to get a taste of what my career will be like working full-time as an actuary.
