Excel for Healthcare: Practical Applications and Skills
I completed the Excel for Healthcare: Practical Applications and Skills course on LinkedIn Learning, taught by Wuraola Oyewusi. This course focused on how Excel is used in healthcare settings, including working with patient information, organizing administrative tasks, and supporting clinical workflows. I chose this course because I plan on going into the healthcare field after graduation, and I want to build strong data and analytical skills that will help me contribute to patient care and healthcare operations.
During the course, I learned how to organize and analyze patient data, create data entry forms, perform demographic and clinical calculations, and track symptoms and medication details. I also practiced using Excel for scheduling, supply tracking, and creating dashboards and charts to communicate important healthcare metrics. This training strengthened my Excel and healthcare analytics skills and helped me better understand how data can support effective decision-making in healthcare environments.
