Project Management: Healthcare Projects
I completed the Healthcare Project Management course on LinkedIn Learning, taught by Bob McGannon. This course focused on managing projects in healthcare environments, where regulatory rules, privacy laws, and patient safety play a key role in decision-making. I enrolled in this course because I am preparing to build my career in the healthcare industry and want to gain a strong understanding of how healthcare projects are structured and executed.
Throughout the course, I learned how to define project goals, create schedules, and coordinate with different stakeholders while balancing clinical priorities and organizational needs. The training also covered risk planning for areas like cybersecurity, emergency scenarios, and medical equipment reliability. In addition, I gained knowledge about budgeting, compliance with patient data regulations, and ethical responsibilities when working with sensitive information. This experience helped strengthen my project management skills and gave me insight into how organized planning and communication support safe and efficient healthcare operations.
