Attending Fox IT Awards
The Fox IT awards are a yearly awards ceremony that is hosted by the Fox MIS department. During this ceremony certain faculty, individuals in the community, and students, are presented with various awards highlighting their accomplishments. The event consists of the awards ceremony themselves, but a before and after time slot to socialize and network. Because there are people being awarded who are from outside of Temple, there are lots of individuals who are there from the industry that you can network with. It is a great experience to meet new people and strike up conversation with all different kinds of people. My experience with the Fox IT awards has been nothing short of positive as I have been able to talk with a lot of different people being either peers, industry experts, or professors. My advice to any MIS majors would be to take advantage of this once a year opportunity because it is one of the best the MIS department has to offer!
