Philly Halal Food Festival
I volunteered at the Philly Halal Food Festival in Philadelphia, PA, an event sponsored by local community organizations to celebrate diverse halal food vendors and promote cultural understanding. My primary roles included managing event registration and overseeing content creation for social media. For registration, I utilized the Wix app to help attendees purchase tickets through card and Apple Pay, which often presented technical difficulties. This required me to quickly adapt and troubleshoot payment issues while maintaining a positive guest experience. Additionally, as the social media manager, I worked alongside a team to create and post live content, including videos and photos, in real-time. This role sharpened my ability to think creatively under pressure, collaborate effectively with others, and manage the demands of a fast-paced event environment. Ultimately, I learned how to work in a team setting, handle unexpected challenges, and contribute to the success of a large-scale community event.
