As a Trade & Customs Global Trade Technology Intern at KPMG, I supported global trade technology projects that helped clients modernize and streamline their trade and customs operations. I worked extensively with SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS), supporting the implementation and integration of the platform for a major medical industry client. I helped facilitate client and internal meetings, documented meeting discussions and action items, and supported the implementation process to help align SAP GTS with the client\u2019s business and trade compliance requirements.<\/p>\n
In addition to client-facing project work, I contributed to the development of AI-powered internal tools designed to improve KPMG\u2019s efficiency and automation capabilities. I helped with the development of a Python-based AI Mill Certificate Reader designed to extract and analyze information from steel certificates, helping automate a previously manual process. I also created an AI-powered timesheet tool designed to streamline time-entry processes and support the company\u2019s internal operations, with the tool intended for future use by KPMG teams.<\/p>\n
Through this role, I gained hands-on experience across SAP GTS, Python, artificial intelligence, business process automation, global trade compliance, client implementation, and project management.
