Event Planning Committee Experience
My time serving AIS on the events committee was a great experience. I helped to plan and then run events for the organization, which is something I enjoy greatly. As an MIS professional, planning and project management are very central and I learned that the skills we emphasize in MIS classes can be translated into everyday life – such as planning a bowling event successfully or even setting up meeting times for the committee. I was also able to network with other AIS members, including the members of my committee, which is always important when you join a new organization or workplace!
