During the summer of 2014 I was an intern for Campbell’s Soup Company in the Enterprise Business Intelligence department. I worked with the Business Intelligence team to complete various ongoing projects as well as trail blaze never before looked at material in predictive analytics. The Campbell’s culture is welcoming and professional. The facilities are state of the art, and the work that the Information Technology department continues to complete is now becoming industry standard. This amazing opportunity has been my first eye opening glimpse into the corporate world. Getting a chance to work for a Fortune 500 company has been incredible. My analytical processing skills have increased at least tenfold and I genuinely could say that I went to Campbell’s every day looking forward to learn.
The work that I completed in the BI department has increased my analytical skills and general business acumen. During my time at Campbell’s I got the privilege to work on a project for the Finance department implementing dashboards on a mobile application to analyze trends of various financial measures. I also was given the opportunity to complete ground breaking research in predictive analytics dealing with campaign management and other various marketing initiatives. Through other different technologies and applications I have gotten a firm grasp on: data analysis, SQL, data modelling, ETL, relationship management, predictive analytics, R analytics, and mobile application deployment.
