Lessons Learned
This was the first time for me to ever come to the Career Fair. I was not actually well prepared, and I was there just to get some experience of how everything works.
However, I did enjoy every minute I was in there, and the employers were very helpful in providing information, leading the conversation and asking questions to me. After this IT career fair, I attended a few more career fair being more prepared. I did some researches about the positions available at each companies, list down the ones that interest me, did a little bit research about the companies, list down the questions and 30 second self-introductions to fit with each employer’s interest, printed my resume and cover letter to be ready for each company I would talk to…!!!! These career fair and the interaction between me and the employers taught me to be more professional and prepared. This is more than just for the MIS purpose, but also for the general career preparation.
