The presenter spoke about cybersecurity in the sense of the dangers of opensource data and how data can be manipulated by AI. The medium of how the presenter spoke about the dangers of how available data is was through PowerPoint. One of the stronger talking points of the presentations was the explanation of Deep Fake Risk. How criminals/hackers use readily available data to reputation slander, manipulate social media platforms and financial scam the public. I found this to be a interesting take on open source data.
This perspective was very interesting to me and relevant to the classes I am taking right now “User design interface” where we talk about the ethical side/perspective of data visualization. I felt like I learned a new perspective about open source data.
