National AIS Competition
Describe the challenge/competition
- 3rd place, data visualization track
- Alexion, AmerisourceBergen, and NBCUniversal sponsored the National Conference.
- The event invited schools all over the country to compete in the National competition. It was held at Temple University in the Fox School of Business on April 12, 2019. The winners were picked based on analysis and visualization of data in the three business cases.
- I learned how to improve our solution from the Temple Analytics Challenge proposal in Fall 2018 and present the new proposal to the judges of the AIS National Challenge in Spring 2019. I learned to incorporate SQL, Excel, and data analytical tools to support our ideas.
- The National AIS Competition allowed me to practice the data analytical tools introduced in class such as MySQL. I also presented an infographic that was easily interpreted by the audience. Our infographic and presentation placed our team in 3rd in the data visualization track.
