- My primary responsibilities as a Website Developer include, but are not limited to:
- Create and update existing websites to support clients’ values, objectives, and services
- Develop landing pages, meta descriptions, and UX tutorials to enhance online visibility
- Analyze website audits to identify areas of improvement regarding website modifications
- Lead weekly one-on-one consultations with clients to refine specifications based on user preferences
- My current ongoing project is a website update for Uncommon Women, a female empowerment podcast. I am modifying the existing website on Wix platform while integrating enhanced design elements to improve user experience, navigational flow, and search engine optimization. The primary objective is to create a visually aesthetic, accessible, and responsive website that will allow the connection of website visitors to Uncommon Women episodes and their business/podcast inquiries.
- I am grateful that this role has allowed me to use my technical, analytical, and communication skills I’ve acquired through my undergraduate experience here at Fox. I’ve applied these skills learned from the following courses: User Experience Design (MIS3506), Web Service Programming (MIS3502), & Lead Global Digital Projects (MIS3535). I’m able to observe and apply UX/UI principles to a live website all while adhering to Digital Connect program processes and policies. Additionally, I perform usability testing by utilizing tools learned in class such as WebAIM WAVE extension and a11y Color Contrast Accessibility Validator. Last but not least, I am able to leverage process thinking and execute a project plan from start to finish effectively.
