Career Objectives
As an Actuarial Science major at Temple University, one of the key components for progressing in the field is passing actuarial exams. Currently, I have successfully completed SOA Exams P/1 and FM/2, and I am preparing to take my third exam in March. Also, I am actively searching for an actuarial internship for this upcoming summer to gain significant work experience and understand how the curriculum taught in the classroom translates to the workforce.
Upon graduation, I would like to obtain a full-time position as an actuarial analyst at a large insurance or financial services company. I am still deciding which track to pursue, whether it’s property and casualty, health and benefits, or financial services. Also, I will continue my actuarial exam progression while managing my office work, striving to obtain my ASA and FSA designations from either the SOA or the CAS. In addition, I plan to enhance my technical skills and become densely educated in the insurance and financial services industries, all while effectively managing increasing responsibilities within the company.
