COLLEGE BASKETBALL
Basketball has always been my favorite sport growing up, both to play and to watch. I especially enjoy basketball at the collegiate level. My favorite college basketball team is my very own Temple Owls led by Coach Fran Dunphy. I am a dedicated fan and go to as many home games as my schedule allows. I’m really excited to see our boys take on the defending national champions, the Louisville Cardinals, later in the season! In addition to cheering on Temple, I enjoy participating in March Madness Tournament brackets with my friends.
CAMP SANKANAC
Camp Sankanac is an overnight Christian camp located in Spring City, PA. I have spent the past 10 summers at Camp Sankanac – 7 as a camper, and 3 as a counselor. This past year, a new basketball camp week was added to the summer’s festivities. As a counselor, I really enjoyed bonding with the campers over our favorite sport – basketball. Camp Sankanac is a home away from home for me and I have really loved making the long-lasting friendships throughout my time at camp. Specifically as a counselor, I have taught and led my campers in activities such as archery, sports, swimming, canoeing, and fishing.
OLYMPICS
Another passion of mine is following the Olympics. I enjoy watching both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games and seeing all the different countries compete in various individual and team events. Specifically, I am super excited for this Winter’s Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia beginning February 7! Some of my favorite events that I am looking forward to are Hockey, Short-Track Speed Skating, and Men’s Snowboard Half-Pipe. I hope that one day I will be blessed with the opportunity to spectate and travel to one or several Olympic Games in the future.
