Banking Loan Analysis
• Evaluated how banks categorize loans into risk categories based on relevant information about the ability of borrowers to service their debt.
• Collected bank information on SEC to investigate their current credit quality by analyzing risks ratings like Special Mention, Substandard, Doubtful, and Pass.
• Used Python to inspect form-10k of 1500 banks and take out the data that includes the credit quality indicators required for the evaluation.
For the project, I used my data analytics and collection skill to help my professor Wei Wang to gather the data required for his project. After this project, I hope to gain more skills in programming and data managing.
