Thomas Huang is heavily involved in student organizations at Temple University as a member of the Temple College Republicans, Habitat for Humanity, ASCEND, and the Association for Information Systems (AIS).

 


Temple University Habitat for Humanity                          Fall 2010-Present

Habitat for Humanity is an international non-profit organization that builds and provides housing for those in need. The organization seeks to eliminate homelessness and poverty throughout the world. Temple University’s chapter no only participates in building the houses, but also provides community service in the Philadelphia area.

 

Temple University Ascend                                            Fall 2012-Present

Ascend is the premier non-profit professional association that enables its members, corporate partners and the community to realize the leadership potential of Pan-Asians in global corporations.
 Ascend reaches 15,000 people with 26 student chapters and 14 professional chapters located in both the U.S. and Canada around major business hubs and campuses. Ascend membership is open to individuals of all ethnicities and business backgrounds.

 

 

Temple University Association for Information Systems                                Fall 2012-Present

The Association for Information Systems (AIS) is an international professional organization serving as the premier global organization for academics specializing in Information Systems. Its mission is to progress knowledge in the use of IT to improve organizational performance and individual quality of work life.

 

 

 

His hobbies include playing chess, taking and reassembling gadgets, and distance & free running, which he became involved in during high school. He is also very passionate about volunteering his time whether it be at the local church, library, or soup kitchen.
