What is UX/UI Design?

- UX in simple terms is the end user’s perceptions as they interact with a product or service. UI design is the actual construction of that product or service’s interface. UI goes hand in hand with UX. Some exemplary uses of each include; UX: copy writing, user research, usability testing, and architecture. UI: visual/interface designs, colors and layout, and branding. There is an six step process in UXD meant to understand users better to enhance their satisfaction of a product/experience.
- I haven not been exposed to UX/UI prior to attending this event, as it’ll be the next step in my coursework in the following year. Being able to have a basic understanding of the design before engaging in studies of it was something I found helpful.
