Philly Food Works

During my time volunteering at the urban farm in the fall semester of 2013 for Neighborhood Foods, Dylan Baird, the founder of Neighborhood Foods offered me a marketing research internship.  My objective included discovering how Neighborhood Foods could create more value for its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) food share customers.  I began interviewing the current CSA customers to assess their perception on what the CSA was lacking, what could be improved and what needed to be kept the same.  I researched competing CSAs and came to conclusion that consumers wanted more variety in their shares, the option to customize shares and that customers wanted to be more immersed in Neighborhood Food’s social impact.  Neighborhood Foods broke away from Urban Tree Connection and became Philly Food Works.  My research was implemented onto their new website and new product offerings.
