Mission Statement: Pre-law Division
The Black Law Student Association (College Division) is a new student organization at Temple University founded in 2008. Our mission is to make pre-law students more competitive law school applicants. We confront the high racial disparity in the legal field by preparing pre-law students to attend law school. We do not discriminate against age, race, gender or national origin. We welcome all to join BLSA.
We Host Programs and events that provide pre-law students with the necessary resources to pursue law school effectively. Our programs are designed to sharpen and cultivate professional and academic skill sets that ultimately lead to success. Our weekly general assembly frequently features practicing attorneys and interactive activities.
We provide an effective mentorship program, scholarships, LSAT prep, law school tours, law admissions preparation and plenty of networking oppourtunities. Our members are able to compete nationally and regionally on our Mock Trial team and are strongly encourage to join one of our committees.
