| At my Global Lending Reconciliation Internship at BlackRock I gained knowledge in the different business operations areas within the corporate structure, like securities lending and reconciliation. I also performed business analysis and project management activities. I interpreted large and complex data sets via data collection, querying, and analysis. I extracted data from the database using SQL, this helped me with the semester after as we had to use SQL in the class I took. I also performed lending reconciliation with BlackRocks various different lenders. I learned the many different tools of Aladdin, BlackRock’s financial platform. A project I worked on during my stint at BlackRock was creating a graph of the breaks we had solved and ones that are still at large. I used Excel to create the graph. |
